Silica Gel (Siliciumdioxide)

Silica Gel (Siliciumdioxide)

Non-indicating silica gel that remains white regardless of the amount of moisture it absorbs.

Silica Gel is made by precipitating colloidal silicon dioxide and then drying it. This creates a highly porous, glass-like material that absorbs water. Unlike activated carbon, Silica Gel sometimes changes color (blue, orange) when used with color indicators to show when it is saturated.

Silica gel works best in areas with higher humidity (> 40% relative humidity) and is ideal for packaging applications and electronic equipment. It can be easily reactivated by gently heating it.
