Molecular Sieve 5A is a five-site sieve with pore sizes of 5 Ångström, which allows for an even broader range of molecules than 4A, while still excluding larger impurities. This makes it particularly suitable for complex natural gas containing multiple impurities (water, CO₂, H₂S).
5A is the workhorse of natural gas treatment systems and is widely used in oxygen concentrators for medical and industrial applications. Its superior adsorption capacity for nitrogen makes it the material of choice for PSA nitrogen generators in high-purity applications.
