Fragoltherm® Dpo
FRAGOLTHERM® DPO is a synthetic heat transfer fluid that can be used in a temperature range between 12 °C and 400 °C. The film temperature at the heating element must not exceed 430 °C.
FRAGOLTHERM® DPO is a eutectic mixture of 73.5% diphenyl oxide and 26.5% diphenyl. This means that, due to its special composition, the product can be used in both the vapor phase and the liquid phase and can be mixed with products of similar composition. In the liquid phase, the product can be used without pressure in the temperature range between 12 °C and 257 °C and, with pressure monitoring, up to 400 °C.
FRAGOLTHERM® DPO crystallizes at temperatures below 12 °C, but without any volume expansion, as is the case with the phase transition of water from the liquid to the solid state. Pipelines and system components that are not constantly in use or that may be exposed to temperatures of 12 °C or lower must be equipped with heat tracing.
