The high boiling point of Therminol® 54 helps reduce volatility and, consequently, the fluid leakage problems associated with other fluids. The recommended maximum operating temperature for Therminol® 54 is based on industry-standard thermal studies. Operating at or below this maximum temperature will ensure a longer service life under many operating conditions. Therminol® 54 is a product designed for the medium temperature range of -28˚C to +280˚C. With its high-performance properties—including the fact that it does not cause “fouling” in piping systems—it is an excellent alternative to mineral oil-based thermal fluids.
