Therminol® 59 is a synthetic, organic, liquid-phase thermal oil with exceptionally good low-temperature pumping characteristics and very good thermal stability, ensuring long-term, optimal system performance at a maximum bulk temperature of up to 315°C.
Therminol® 59 is a synthetic, organic, liquid-phase thermal oil with exceptionally good low-temperature pumping characteristics and very good thermal stability, ensuring long-term, optimal system performance at a maximum bulk temperature of up to 315°C.
Therminol® 59 is designed for use in indirect heating systems and is capable of providing efficient, reliable, and uniform process heating or cooling without the need for increased system pressure for the main circulation pump(s). Its excellent performance at low temperatures down to -49°C or even lower makes it ideal for thermal systems that do not use steam or electric heat tracing, thereby keeping investment costs low. Therminol® 59 is commonly used on offshore installations in the North Sea and in facilities that may or must be shut down for a period of time during the winter months when temperatures drop below freezing.
