Therminol® 68 is a high-temperature liquid-phase thermal oil with excellent thermal stability. Therminol® 68 is designed for temperatures up to 360°C in the liquid phase of a thermal system.
Therminol® 68 is a high-temperature liquid-phase thermal oil with excellent thermal stability. Therminol® 68 is designed for temperatures up to 360°C in the liquid phase of a thermal system.
A static pressure of approximately 2 bar is required to operate in the liquid phase at higher temperatures. This product is non-corrosive to typical thermal oil systems, is virtually odorless, and has good handling characteristics. The properties of Therminol® 68 make this product ideal for use in the process industry and refining applications, for heat recovery from flue gas, as a coolant to remove heat from exothermic reactions, and for indirect heating or distillation processes. Although Therminol® 68 has a relatively high flash point, it is not classified as a fire-resistant fluid. Therefore, fire detection sensors and other fire prevention measures may be necessary.
