Therminol® 75 heat transfer fluid offers excellent thermal stability. It is designed for use at temperatures up to 385 °C in typical liquid-phase heat transfer systems operating at low pressure.
Therminol® 75 heat transfer fluid offers excellent thermal stability. It is designed for use at temperatures up to 385 °C in typical liquid-phase heat transfer systems operating at low pressure.
A static pressure of only about 1.5 bar would be sufficient to maintain the liquid phase at high temperatures. Therminol® 75 fluid has heat transfer coefficients that are equivalent to or higher than those of other natural or synthetic fluids in the same boiling range. Due to its high boiling point (343°C), Therminol® 75 generates very little vapor pressure above ambient pressure at 385°C and can be used in low-pressure systems. Under ambient conditions, Therminol® 75 is a soft solid with a slump point of approximately 75°–80°C. It has a low odor level.
