Therminol® D-12
Therminol®-D12 is a thermal oil specially developed for process cooling in combination with moderately heated loop systems that use thermal oil instead of dual steam/glycol systems. This thermal oil is particularly well-suited for use in the pharmaceutical industry and in climate test chambers.
Therminol® D12 is a thermal oil specially developed for process cooling in combination with moderately heated loop systems that use thermal oil instead of dual steam/glycol systems. This thermal oil is particularly well-suited for use in the pharmaceutical industry and in climate test chambers.
Therminol® D12 has an operating temperature range of -85°C to +190°C at atmospheric pressure, and up to 260°C at low pressure. Therminol® D12 is based on halogen-free chemistry and is considered non-hazardous and virtually harmless to the environment. Therminol® D12 has the following properties.
- Virtually odorless
- FDA–NSF registered with HT 1 status
- Cooling/heating fluid
