Therminol® LT
Therminol® LT is a synthetic organic thermal fluid.It can be used in both the liquid and gas phases. With a boiling point of 181˚C, Therminol® LT can be used in the liquid phase from -75˚C to +181˚C at ambient temperature, or above 181˚C under pressure up to 315˚C.
Therminol® LT is a synthetic organic thermal fluid.It can be used in both the liquid and vapor phases. With a boiling point of 181˚C, Therminol® LT can be used in the liquid phase from -75˚C to +181˚C at ambient temperature, or above 181˚C under pressure up to 315˚C.
The fluid has a flash point of +57˚C, which means that appropriate fire safety measures are incorporated into the system design. Therminol® LT offers designers and users of liquid-phase systems a fluid with excellent thermal stability, free from carbon buildup and sludge formation issues, and lower maintenance costs over a longer service life. Therminol® LT also has excellent low-temperature viscosity characteristics that ensure excellent pumpability of the oil at very low temperatures, facilitating startup even at temperatures around -73°C, without the need for electrical “tracing.”
