Therminol® VP-3 is a liquid/gas-phase thermal oil that has been specially developed to operate in the gas phase at lower temperatures than is practically possible with traditional diphenyl oxide/biphenyl-based thermal oils such as Therminol® VP-1.Therminol® VP-3 has a normal boiling point of 243°C, which is 14°C lower than the normal boiling point of Therminol® VP-1.

Therminol® VP-3 is a liquid/gas-phase thermal oil that has been specially developed to operate in the gas phase at lower temperatures than is practically possible with traditional diphenyl oxide/biphenyl-based thermal oils such as Therminol® VP-1.

Therminol® VP-3 has a normal boiling point of 243°C, which is 14°C below the normal boiling point of Therminol® VP-1. Laboratory thermal stability tests show that a maximum operating temperature of 330°C is possible in either the liquid or gas phase. A crystallization point of 2.4°C makes Therminol® VP-3 easy to work with, eliminating the need for costly tracing systems in mild climatic conditions.
