Zeolite with a pore size of 4 Ångström, used for drying natural gas and industrial gases, including CO₂ removal.
Molecular Sieve 4A is a four-site sieve with pore sizes of 4 Ångström, making it suitable for a wider range of molecules than 3A. This type can adsorb water, ammonia, methanol, and ethanol, but still excludes larger molecules. This makes 4A extremely versatile for industrial gas dehydration applications.
4A is widely used in Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) systems for nitrogen generation and oxygen enrichment. Its excellent adsorption kinetics (rate of adsorption) make it ideal for high-throughput applications where rapid adsorption is essential.
